Back Bay
The Back Bay area of Coastal Mississippi refers to the area north of Biloxi Bay. The Biloxi Bay and the adjoining Mississippi Sound are renowned for their fishing and water recreation. It's Mississippi, so the weather gets hot in the summer, but the gulf breezes keep us cool.
The residents are fiercely loyal to their coastal home and still live near multiple generations of family. Nearly every weekend, residents attend festivals, balls, concerts, casinos, and large events. You can check out the Coastal Mississippi event page here.
Coastal Mississippi is also home to multiple military bases, large shipping ports, shipbuilding, Stennis Space Center, and an international airport. Keesler Air Force Base is the largest military installation on the coast and is within 15 minutes of Back Bay Church. KAFB is home to over 8,000 active airmen and their families.
Coastal Mississippi has an abundance of entertainment and rich culture. However, the population is suffering spiritually. Most people don't have any involvement with a religious congregation. The fastest growing religious demographic is "none," meaning people who claim no religion.
